CO₂ – freier Betrieb!
Dockyard is one of the country’s most sustainable office buildings and has been designed for businesses taking a unilateral step in this direction. The carbon footprint of the building is already being reduced during the construction of the building, through the use of sustainable materials. Key aspects are the wood-hybrid construction and use of ‘green’ steel in defined areas of the building. With its innovative energy concept, the Dockyard office complex will function on a net-zero basis, using one of Germany’s largest ice storage systems and renewable energy sources including geothermal energy, solar energy and ambient air. Service charges will also be minimised.

Energie concept

Ice Ice Baby

Dockyard will use green energy from three different sources –
geothermal energy, solar energy and ambient air. Heat pumps will use the required volume of carbon neutral energy to heat and cool the building. State-of-the-art PVT collectors will generate not only heat, but also the electricity used for the heat pumps. Any additionally required electricity will be procured from renewable sources.
